Connect YouTube (Optional Feature)

Verma Chaiwalla offers an optional “Connect YouTube” feature that lets you see personalized recommendations from the YouTube channels you already subscribe to.

What data we access

When you choose to connect, we request read-only access to your YouTube subscription list using the youtube.readonly scope. This is the minimum permission needed to show you content from your subscribed channels.

How we use your data

• We read your subscription list to display music, videos, and shorts from channels you follow
• Your subscription list is temporarily cached on our server for up to 12 hours to reduce repeated requests
• Your access token is stored in an encrypted server-side session

What we do NOT do

• We never modify, post, or delete anything on your YouTube account
• We never store your subscription data permanently
• We never share, sell, or transfer your Google data to any third party
• We never use your data for advertising, profiling, or marketing
• Connecting YouTube is completely optional — the app works fully without it

Disconnect anytime

You can disconnect your YouTube account at any time by clicking the “Disconnect” button. This immediately deletes your stored tokens and cached data from our servers. You can also revoke access from your Google Account permissions page.
